× Gardner Sherill was named vice president of new trust business for the Sarasota/Manatee offices of Northern Trust Bank of Florida. Sherill joined Northern Trust in March.

× Lynn Currin has joined SunTrust as a senior vice president and private client adviser. Currin spent 10 years as a senior vice president and private client adviser in the Gulf Coast market for Bank of America.

Law

× Christopher Forrest has become an associate of Bowman George Scheb Toale & Robinson. Forrest will concentrate in the areas of commercial litigation, local government and insurance law.

× Jeffrey Luhrsen of Luhrsen-Walsh-Kleinber has been named a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Luhrsen specializes in catastrophic injury and wrongful death.

Business

× Stephen Panzarino has joined the ADP Group, a Sarasota architectural, interior design and planning firm, as a senior architect. Panzarino was previously with Michael Graves and Associates, Princeton, N.J.

× Randy Gibbons was promoted to vice president of National Constructors Management Inc., Venice.

× Dana Fandale joined the International Barter Exchange (IBE) as front office administrator. Fandale is experienced in accounting, customer relations. In addition, she is fluent in Spanish, Italian and French.

Education

The USF Sarasota-Manatee Community Leadership Council (CLC) 2004 held its quarterly meeting on April 26 in Sudakoff on the east campus. Eight new members joined this year: Ed Chiles, president & CEO of Chiles Group; Roger Dearing, superintendent of Manatee County Schools; Grace Dietrich, senior vice president of technology for Jackson Hewitt; Rex Jensen, president of Lakewood Ranch; Diana Michel, president of Michel Sports Marketing and president of the Sarasota/Manatee Chapter of the USF Alumni Association; Jerry Neff, president of Gold Bank; Bob Richardson, president of Richardson Klieber Walter Realty; and Gene Witt, interim superintendent of the Sarasota County School District.

Medicine

× Eric Berman, a neuro-ophthalmologist practicing with Sarasota Eye Clinic, recently addressed a global meeting of physicians at the Ibero-American Congress of Neuro-Ophthalmology in Lima, Peru. Berman joined Sarasota Eye Clinic in 1999.

Financial

× Mark Connor joined Aclarian Mortgage as regional vice president/branch manager. Connor founded Metro 1st Mortgage in Dallas in 1997.

× Cindy Connor was named vice president builder services for Aclarian Mortgage. Connor was previously the general manager of Metro1st Mortgage in Dallas.
