CLEARWATER — Private Golf Club Management LLC bought Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater Friday. PGCM is a new joint venture formed between Dallas-based HBT Golf LLC and a trio of golf industry veterans: Charlie Staples, Mike Miraglia and Tom Bennison.

Staples and Miraglia own Fore Golf Services, which owns and operates 13 golf courses in Florida, Virginia, Maryland, and Ohio. Miraglia will oversee the day-to-day operations of the new venture, a company statement explains.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, although Bennison did say PGCM would be using cash to complete its purchases. Thomas Little and Albert Silva, partners at Tampa-based Foley & Lardner LLP, represented the buyers.
