FORT MYERS — Johnson Engineering Inc. named Kevin Winter its newest chairman of the board, and Lonnie Howard as its president-elect.

Winter has been with the company for 24 years, a release says. He currently serves as head of the company's Development Group, and his appointment to the chair was effective as of yesterday.

Howard has worked for Johnson Engineering for 17 years, and is currently head of the Groundwater Resource Group. He will replace Steven Morrison, who will soon complete his 15th year as Johnson's president. With his latest appointment, Howard will become just the fifth person to lead Johnson as president in the company's 65-year history.

Johnson Engineering employs a team of 150 engineers, ecologists, scientists, and other development professionals.
