CLEARWATER — Allegiant Air is expanding its routes at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport with nonstop service to and from three new cities: Appleton, Wis., Scranton, Pa. and Kansas City.

The Appleton and Scranton flights will begin Nov. 6, according to a statement. Kansas City flights begin Nov. 12. All the flights have introductory fares as low as $49 each way.

The new flights will bring nearly 15,000 additional visitors each year to the St. Pete-Clearwater area, say officials with the airport, under the call letters PIE.

“We are very pleased with these new destinations,” Airport Director Tom Jewsbury says in the release. “Allegiant will now serve 47 markets nonstop to PIE, continuing to expand on their record of most nonstop cities served in Tampa Bay."
