NAPLES — A certified family practice nurse practitioner and a doctor who have partnered in their own internal and primary care practice in Maryland have relocated to Naples to open Prestige Primary Care.

The practice, which focuses on preventative medicine, chronic disease management and health screenings for adults 18, was founded by Naples native Jessica Bartalino and Dr. Mahesha Thimmarayappa, according to a statement. They moved to Naples to be closer to family, the release adds.

Bartalino, who grew up in Naples and graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University,  has more than a decade of medical experience with an emphasis on wellness and preventative care. Thimmarayappa is board-certified in internal medicine and completed his residency at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. He earned his medical doctorate from Bangalore Medical College in India. He practiced in Maryland for 16 years working with geriatric and rehabilitation patients as well as those suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure, the release states.

Prestige Primary Care is at 860 111th Ave. N. in Naples and offers after-hours and Saturday appointments.
