NAPLES -- The Imagine Solutions Conference, a Naples event that drew 40 presenters and 500 attendees in March, has been cancelled for 2012.
The conference's board of directors cites two reasons for the cancellation. For one, organizers say demand for speakers in presidential election years “limits participation in thought leader conferences.”
The other challenge: a lack of funding. At its 2011 event, the Imagine Solutions Conference attracted six corporate sponsorships. Organizers now say it would be difficult to attract similar support this year.
A press release refers to the 2012 conference as having been postponed, but separate comments to the Business Review suggest the Imagine Solutions event has been altogether cancelled for the next calendar year.
