The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has recognized two Manatee companies.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has given and Teltronics Inc. its Faces of Trade award.

The award recognizes American-owned and operated companies with fewer than 500 employees “that have demonstrated outstanding international success through exports,” the release said.

With 61 employees, provides an international package forwarding service to domestic retailers' international customers. The company was recognized as one of the 5,000 fastest growing companies in the nation by Inc. magazine in 2008, and President Eric Baird was named the Gulf Coast Business Review's Entrepreneur of the Year in 2009. Teltronics Inc. develops voice-over-internet protocol solutions for companies around the world, with 114 employees in Manatee County and a total worldwide workforce of 180.

“Teltronics currently does business in most of the 17 countries in which the U.S. has free trade agreements established,” said Ewen Cameron, the company's president.

Only four Florida companies won the award. Both and Teltronics are based in Manatee County.
