ESTERO — Suffolk, a $3 billion national construction management firm, has promoted three Florida executives to lead its Southeast region and expand the company’s presence throughout the state.

Pete Tuffo has been named president and general manager of the Southeast region, while Josh Christensen and Joe Fernandez have each been promoted to chief operating officer. The promotions coincide with the region’s geographic expansion, where revenues exceeded $800 million this past year with another steady increase moving into 2019.

Tuffo will oversee Suffolk’s Southeast region, which includes offices in Tampa, Estero, West Palm Beach and Miami, according to a statement.  Christensen will be responsible for Gulf Coast operations, while Fernandez will manage East Coast operations.

Suffolk has experienced a steady revenue climb in recent years and projects another 20% increase in 2018. The company has added more than 200 employees in the last three years, including 60 in Southwest Florida.

“These visionary, forward-thinking leaders have been a driving force behind Suffolk’s exponential growth in the Southeast region,” says John Fish, chairman and CEO of Suffolk, in a statement. “Their exceptional leadership, passion for innovation and strong commitment to client service have helped position our organization as an industry leader as we continue to build momentum in the Southeast.”

The expanded leadership structure will allow the company to provide greater service to clients in the commercial, multifamily, health care, transportation and education sectors within the region, the release states. Suffolk also operates offices in Boston, New York City, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego.
