SARASOTA — Michael’s On East, a popular venue for professional functions and formal occasions, recently completed a renovation of its ballroom.
According to a press release, the renovated ballroom of the Sarasota facility can host up to 550 guests for a seated event or 1,000 guests for a reception.
Anne Folsom Smith Interior Design managed the renovation.
“Perhaps the most dramatic update to the space has been the addition of mocha molding which now frames the windows and extends around the entire room," says Folsom Smith in a statement. "The deep earthy color continues to the ceiling above each window with Roman shades in wood grain and the columns have been covered with chocolate and vanilla crystallized tile which gives them a slight sparkle."
The renovation also included the installation of new carpet, the release adds.
Michael’s On East was founded in 1987. It is operated by co-proprietors Michael Klauber and Philip Mancini. In addition to the ballroom, it also includes a fine dining restaurant, catering operation and Michael’s Wine Cellar.
