LAKEWOOD RANCH — M/I Homes announced that Ed Suchora will serve as the company's new area president for the Sarasota division.
According to a press release, Suchora has a long history of housing leadership throughout Florida and the Southeast U.S. He replaces David Hunihan.
For the past two years, Suchora served in a regional capacity for M/I Homes as regional vice president of land. Before that, he held roles as division president for Mattamy Homes and Beazer Homes. He also worked as an executive with Pulte Homes.
M/I Homes was founded in 1976 by Melvin and Irving Schottenstein. The company opened a homebuilding division for Sarasota and Manatee counties in July 2016.
