FORT MYERS — Elite DNA Therapy Services, a Fort Myers-based mental health care provider, is adding four new locations in the region and expanding its virtual care services.
The company opened offices in Bradenton, Sarasota and Westchase, Hillsborough County, in March, according to a statement. An office in Wesley Chapel, Pasco County, is expected to open in April, the release adds. The company has existing locations in Fort Myers, Brandon, Brooksville, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, Loxahatchee, Naples, Port Charlotte, Jacksonville, Weston, Venice and Inverness.
“Bringing much needed services to new areas and introducing mental health services as a right, not a privilege, has been our compass, our mission and our guiding light,” Founder and CEO Elizabeth Dosoretz says in the statement. “People need to know they aren’t alone, and they have a right to behavioral services. It should not be a cumbersome, complicated or fragmented system that is impossible for them to navigate.”
Dosoretz launched Elite DNA Therapy Services in 2013 in Fort Myers, the release states, after she saw a need for timely access to high quality mental health care. Services soon expanded to other Fort Myers offices, Cape Coral and Naples before expanding regionally then statewide. (Dosoretz’s brother Dr. Arie Dosoretz co-founded Advocate Radiation Oncology in 2019, while their father, Dr. Daniel Dosoretz, formerly ran a large oncology practice in the state, 21st Century Oncology.
One of the core reasons for the expansion is the need for mental health care services in the U.S., already growing pre-pandemic, has exploded, say company officials. Elite DNA Therapy Services provides psychiatry and psychotherapy services as well as Applied Behavior Analysis, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy. The company also provides Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatment for severe depression. Services are available for adults, children, individuals and families.
Currently, Elite DNA sees about 800 clients a day, while its Connection Center answers an average of 1,300 phone calls a day, the release states. “We aren’t just talking about access to high quality services, we’re creating it,” said COO Philip Cirrone, says in the release.
