TAMPA -- Maxcy Development Group changed its name to Lerner Real Estate Advisors, reflecting a new business focus, as well as an ownership change -- company President Harry Lerner bought the firm from Latt Maxcy Corp. earlier this year.
The new Lerner Real Estate Advisors now works with lenders, investors, homebuilders and developers to create repositioning solutions for distressed developments. Over the past two and a half years, Lerner has worked with more than 40 developments, containing 43,000 residential lots, 10 million square feet of commercial and office space, and debt of approximately $1 billion, a release from the company says.
Lerner has 10 employees. The company is headquartered in Tampa, at 3434 Colwell Ave.
Financial terms of Lerner's purchase of the company have not been disclosed.
