FORT MYERS — Commissioners in Lee County appointed Frank Mann to be the new chairman of the county's Tourist Development Council.
Mann has previous experience in both houses of the Florida Legislature. His political resume includes work on resource conservation, including a gubernatorial appointment to the South Florida Water Management District Board immediately preceding his service as a Lee County commissioner.
Mann also spent 10 years on the National Resources Committee while serving in the Florida Legislature, a release said.
The Tourist Development Council was established by Lee County commissioners in 1983. Tammy Hall served as the TDC's chairwoman prior to today's appointment.
