Update: Joseph Lopano has accepted the board's offer, and will become CEO of Tampa International Airport on Jan. 1, 2011. Lopano will earn $250,000 a year in base salary.

Joseph Lopano was selected to be the next executive director of Tampa International Airport by the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority board. Lopano replaces Louis Miller, who vacated the position in March.
Lopano comes to TIA from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, where he served as an executive vice president. Before taking on his new role, however, salary negotiations must be completed with the HCAA board.
Prior to his departure, Miller earned more than $250,000 a year as executive director at TIA.
