Logistics firm promotes exec to COO

FORT MYERS — Transportation logistics firm Allyn International named Michal Svoboda chief operating officer.

Svoboda joined Allyn in 2000 and previously served as the operations manager at the company's offices in Prague, Czech Republic, and as global logistics manager. As chief operating officer, Svoboda will oversee Allyn's global operations.

“Michal exemplifies the Allyn values,” says Allen Trevett, CEO of Allyn International, in a statement. “He is a leader in contribution to our community, including taking a founding role with the Julie Lynn Willard Foundation non-profit scholarship organization.”

Allyn provides transportation management, logistics sourcing, freight forwarding, supply chain consulting, tax management and global trade compliance to small businesses and Fortune 500 firms. Headquarters in Fort Myers, the company also has offices in Prague and Shanghai.
