Chill Bros. Scoop Shop celebrated National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, July 17, with free ice cream and live music for customers at its fourth and newest store, located in the $3.5 billion Water Street neighborhood that’s being developed by Jeff Vinik’s Strategic Property Partners and Cascade Investment, a firm funded and led by Bill Gates.

The original Chill Bros. Scoop Shop — founded by brothers Patton, Max and Nash Chillura, along with their sister, Hadley Chillura — opened in 2019 in Ybor City. The company also has two stores in South Tampa, at 3302 W. Bay to Bay Blvd. and 1205 S. Howard Ave., the latter on the ground floor of the Epicurean Hotel.

The Water Street Chill Bros. Scoop Shop is located at 1061 Water St., at the base of the Cora Residences.

According to a news release, Chill Bros. Scoop Shop was the brainchild of Max Chillura, who traveled to Bologna, Italy, to learn the art of ice cream making. The company specializes in traditional American-style ice cream, vegan ice cream and fresh-made chocolate chip cookies.
