TAMPA — Touting it as the “ultimate freebie” on a holiday shopping weekend known for deals, Tampa-based Checkers and Rally’s Restaurants Inc. plans to give away a free order of large French fries to anyone who presents a downloadable coupon at one of its participating stores between Nov. 26 and 28.
“Black FryDay,” according to a news release, is being promoted with the Checkers & Rally's Fry Love Express, a 43-foot trailer with a fully functional fry kitchen. The vehicle will serve free fries to residents of Fries, Va., in the days leading up to and after the Black FryDay promotion.
Also, members of Checkers & Rally's Rewards Program will receive double points on any purchases they make between Nov. 26 and 28.
"On a day known for special deals, nothing can beat the ultimate offer of 'free' when it comes to the biggest 'FryDay' of the year and the most crave-able fries in America, especially for three days straight," Checkers Drive-In Restaurants Inc. President and CEO Frances Allen states in the release. "This holiday season is an unusually special one for a variety of reasons, and we want to make it more so by giving our bold, crave-able, famous seasoned fries as a holiday gift for all those in the communities we serve."
