SARASOTA — Florida Gov. Rick Scott recently appointed three local attorneys to the 12th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.

The commission, according to a release, selects and nominates judicial candidates for vacancies on the 12th Circuit, which covers DeSoto, Manatee and Sarasota counties. The nominees are then passed on to the governor's office. Terms on the nominating commission last four years.

The three attorneys are:

• Carly Lambert: A litigator with Price, Hamilton & Price, a Bradenton-based firm. Lambert focuses on insurance defense, personal injury and construction litigation.
• Bonnie Polk: A litigator with Sarasota-based Williams Parker, with a focus on probate and trust, real estate and corporate disputes.
• Will Robinson: A real estate and land use and attorney at Blalock Walters in Bradenton. Robinson is also on the board of the Bradenton Downtown Development Authority. Read more about Robinson here.
