Douglas Lee in a Feb. 13 press release. "She has earned the respect and confidence of the faculty and administration at the law school and Stetson's main campus in DeLand."

A 12-member search committee recommended Dickerson over two other finalists. She joined Stetson in 1995, became associate dean in 2000, the same year she received tenure. She has served as director of legal research and writing since spring of 1996. Dickerson was appointed interim dean in May following the death of Dean Gary Vause.
