FORT MYERS — Lee Health announced a new urology practice with three offices and one surgery center in Lee County, following its acquisition of Southwest Florida Urology Associates.

The practice was renamed as Lee Physician Group Urology, which has been practicing in the community for more than 30 years, according to a news release. As part of the acquisition, the physicians, physician assistants, advanced providers and staff are joining the Lee Health team, the release says. Financial details of the acquisition were not released.

“We have built a great relationship with Lee Health over the years, and we couldn’t be happier to be joining their team as we strive to provide the best possible urologic care to Southwest Florida,” Dr. Jasper Rizzo, a urologist with LPG Urology, says in the release. “By becoming part of the Lee Health family, we will be able to provide an improved coordination of urology care for our patients and enjoy the full administrative support that comes with joining a robust health system.”

LPG Urology has a staff of more than 70 employees, three offices in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Lehigh Acres, and a surgery center located adjacent to the Fort Myers office.
