Airport promotes division director of administration from within

Brian McGonagle previously worked as director finance of Lee County Port Authority.

FORT MYERS — Lee County Port Authority Director of Finance Brian McGonagle has been promoted to division director of administration of the body that oversees Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field in Fort Myers. In his new role, he oversees the department that oversees the areas of air service development, communications and marketing, finance, human resources, information technology and properties for the airports. 

Previously, McGonagle was responsible for all financial and accounting functions including purchasing, the annual budget and capital Improvement program. He joined LCPA in 1997 as a budget analyst before being promoted to manager of budget and accounting and then named director of finance in 2004. 

Previously, McGonagle worked for more than 12 years in accounting and finance at the Bank of Boston. He began his career as a cost accountant for the United Airlines’ flight kitchen in Boston. He is a member of Airports Council International – North America Finance Steering Committee, the Florida Government Finance Officers Association and American Association of Airport Executives.
