SARASOTA — Ledtolite Inc., an LED light designer and manufacturer, will move to a larger facility and hire 26 new employees over the next five years, according to CEO Alain Bricoune. The company currently has three employees.

Sarasota County commissioners approved $80,000 in performance-based incentive grant funding to support that growth.

Economic Development Corp. of Sarasota County President and CEO Kathy Baylis welcomed the move. “Our region is developing a reputation for leading technology in the lighting industry, a growing sector of the economy and a potential source for more, higher wage jobs,” Baylis says in a release.

Ledtolite will move to a 2,200-square-foot building on Triple Diamond Boulevard in Nokomis. The 10-year-old company first came to Sarasota County from France two years ago.

“With our move to Sarasota County from France in 2009, we began to transition our manufacturing to the United States, where we expect much of our sales growth to be and where we are closer to our suppliers,” Bricoune explains in the release.
