LCM Capital Advisors, a Sarasota-based wealth management firm, has begun working with Tampa-based JHS Capital Advisors, a company owned by Gulf Coast businessman John Sykes.

While the relationship with JHS is new for LCM, the company is already experienced in working with Sykes. Prior to its closure, LCM used Sykes' former company, GunnAllen Financial Inc., to clear transactions.

Now that GunnAllen is no more, LCM's work with Sykes resumes under a new name.

“GunnAllen is in the past,” declares Eileen Canady, director of strategic development at JHS Capital Advisors.

Canady says the change also creates a new growth opportunity for both LCM and JHS. “We absolutely have plans to expand,” she says, explaining that both companies are currently conducting interviews in the Sarasota area.

LCM Capital Advisors, led by Jon Lee, Keith Curtis and Robert Melderth, currently manages approximately $100 million in assets.
