Four Naples attorneys, led by Brad Galbraith, recently left one firm to launch their own practice, which will focus on trusts and estate planning.

The new firm is Galbraith PLLC. It will serve current clients and target new ones, both in Naples and a second office in Indianapolis, according to a statement. A CPA and author on tax and estate issues, Galbraith previously worked at Woods, Weidenmiller, Michetti & Rudnick & Galbraith, a Naples firm with three Southwest Florida offices. Three former Woods, Weidenmiller attorneys joined Galbraith as partners at the new firm: Lisa Glenn, David Ruben and Joanna Feltz.

There are 11 employees total at Galbraith, the release adds, including attorneys, paralegals, and professional legal support staff. The decision to open an independent firm, according to a statement, is to create a customer centric membership-like club for clients, rather than follow the immediate operational concerns of a multi-practice firm. Woods, Weidenmiller handles general litigation, real estate, construction and immigration, among other disciplines.

“This move is another demonstration of my desire to respond to the unique needs of clients navigating the estate planning process,” Galbraith says in a statement. “Unlike other fields of law that typically provide brief, transactional legal services, estate planning requires patience and a commitment to provide ongoing, long-term services to clients and their families.”
