Jabil adds Brooks to board

ST. PETERSBURG — Jabil Circuit Inc. (symbol: JBL) added Martha Brooks to its board of directors.

Brooks is the former president and chief operating officer of Novelis Inc., an aluminum rolling company headquartered in Atlanta. The firm generated $8.7 billion in revenues in its 2010 fiscal year, and is the No. 1 producer of rolled aluminum products in Europe and South America. Novelis employs 11,600 workers.

Brooks worked with Novelis between 2007 and 2009. In addition to her new role, she also serves on the boards of Bombardier Inc., a Montreal-based aircraft manufacturer with $19.4 billion in revenues, and Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson Inc. (symbol: HOG), which had $4.8 billion in 2010 revenues.

Jabil Circuit recently reported its second quarter revenues, which grew 30% over the year to $3.9 billion. The company has earned $15.4 billion in revenues in its four most recent quarters of business. Its stock is currently trading at more than $21 per share, near its 52-week high of $23.09.
