CAPE CORAL — Leisure Product Holdings has acquired Marine Concepts/JRL Ventures, a manufacturer of molds for boat builders. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Georgia-based Leisure Product Holdings makes investments in the commercial and recreational boating industries. Cape Coral-based Marine Concepts/JRL Ventures will join the company's other brands, including Marine Electrical Products, Florida Marine Tanks and Erwin Cole Enterprises, according to a statement from Leisure Product.

Marine Concepts/JRL Ventures CEO Bob Long will remain with the company and join the board of directors of Leisure Product Holdings. Matt Chambers, the company's president, will also continue in his current role overseeing facilities in Cape Coral and Sarasota. “We are looking forward to the growth and synergistic opportunities this acquisition will bring to the LPH family,” Long says in a statement.

Marine Concepts designs, engineers and manufactures molds for the boating industry. JRL Ventures is the non-marine division of the company that designs, engineers and manufactures tooling for the aerospace, automotive, amusement, windmill and other industries.
