CLEARWATER — Infusion Brands Inc., a consumer product brand marketing company that operates under the public company As Seen On TV Inc. (symbol: ASTV; recent price: $0.065), has appointed Mark Ethier as the company's new president and chief operating officer.

Mark Ethier was the CEO of Cornerstone Brands Inc., a billion-dollar sub-brand of HSN Inc., from October 2009 to April 2013. He served as the chief operations officer and executive vice president of multimedia retail company HSN Inc. from 2004 to 2009 and previously, he was executive vice president of operations from 2001 to 2004. Prior to HSN, Ethier served as a senior vice president of global operations for The Walt Disney Co. Disney Stores retail business unit from 1997 to 2001.

Ethier will also serve as a member of the board of directors.

In addition, Infusion Brands also named Lee Zoppa to oversee the company's direct response marketing initiatives as its new vice president of direct response marketing.

Zoppa was most recently chief marketing officer at MyLooks Inc., a cosmetic surgery startup. Before that she was vice president of marketing and advertising for Hair Club for Men and Women from 2008 to 2013. Zoppa was also previously vice president of direct response and director of marketing for CleanBrands LLC, Sylmark Corp. and eHarmony.

The company says the two new hires were needed to provide additional leadership as the company starts to launch several new infomercials currently in production and slated to begin airing in the fall.

This article has been updated to correct that Ethier was hired as COO.
