TAMPA — Humana Inc. (symbol: HUM), a Medicare benefits provider with $34 billion in 2010 revenues, will soon hire 140 additional employees for its call center operations in Tampa.
The new hires will give Humana a staff of 2,200 local employees this summer, although only half of those positions will be full-time, a release says.
Humana is looking to add to its telesales and floor management staff. The new employees will work at Humana's existing facility, at 5701 E. Hillsborough Ave.
Last month, Humana announced that its Humana Cares division would be adding 177 new employees in the St. Petersburg market, along with 20,000 square feet of additional office space.
Humana Inc. is headquartered in Louisville, Ky. At its current per-share price of just more than $80, Humana has a market capitalization of roughly $13.5 billion.
