ST. PETERSBURG — HSN Inc. (symbol: HSNI) is adding a new layer to its online shopping experience: HSN Arcade, a collection of casual games that will allow customers to collect discounts and gift cards while viewing HSN's online broadcasts.
High scorers will be able to share their achievements via Facebook, adding a viral marketing component to the new technology as well, the company said in a release.
Based in St. Petersburg, HSN's television channel is broadcast to 96 million U.S. households. Its stock has appreciated in value by roughly 12% so far this year, up to a per-share price near $34.
The company generated nearly $3 billion in revenues in 2010.
