ST. PETERSBURG — Chris Whitby has been named CFO and vice president of Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg.

According to a press release, the hospital conducted an extensive, nationwide search for a new CFO before hiring from within for the role. Whitby joined the hospital in 2016 as senior director of finance and had been serving as interim CFO, as well.

“Chris has already made great contributions as a new leader, guiding and providing oversight for our 10 year financial plan,” states Jonathan Ellen, president and vice dean at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, in the release. “In his new role, he will continue to guide our financial planning, as well as have oversight responsibility for the revenue cycle, financial reporting, managed care contracting, decision support, reimbursement, treasury and taxation.”

Whitby's resume also includes stints at the Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Md.
