BONITA SPRINGS — The president and CEO of Hope Healthcare has been elected vice chair of the National Partnership for Hospice Innovation. Samira Beckwith, a recognized authority on hospice care, will help lead the nationwide partnership of community-based nonprofit, hospice, palliative and advanced illness care providers.

Beckwith was a founding director of NPHI and has been a member of the organization since 2015, according to a statement. She also represented Hope Healthcare and NPHI in a September meeting with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Seema Verma, where they discussed reducing regulatory burdens affecting hospices.

“Being involved with organizations like NHPI allows us to keep abreast of health care models around the country and share our best practices,” says Beckwith in a statement. “It supports Hope’s mission of elevating the quality of life for those who need hope most and ensures we are giving the best comfort and care possible throughout Southwest Florida.”

Hope Healthcare, which includes Hope Hospice and Hope Kids Care programs, is dedicated to providing end-of-life care and comfort for patients and their families.
