Hodges University will add new buildings at each of its three Gulf Coast locations in response to increasing enrollment, a release said.
Hodges will add an access road and new parking spaces to its Naples campus, and will do some remodeling at its Immokalee site. But the headliner of the new projects is a 45,000-square foot, three-story building in Fort Myers, where enrollment has grown 80% since opening in 2005.
The Fort Myers project will be worth $12 million, a release said, and completion is expected in early 2012. Fort Myers-based Sheeley Architects designed the building, and Davidson Engineering has been given site development.
Hodges University was founded in 1990. The school offers courses in 18 disciplines, but that number may increase when the new facilities are built.
