TAMPA -- Kevin White, a former commissioner in Hillsborough County, was found guilty of conspiracy, bribery, wire fraud, and lying to the FBI this week.

According to the U.S. Attorney's office, White accepted bribes from towing companies in exchange for placement on the county's approved rotational towing list while serving as chairman of the Hillsborough Public Transportation Commission.

White was indicted on June 14, along with co-defendant George Hondrellis, owner of Tampa City Towing. Hondrellis will be tried separately at a later date, the U.S. Attorney's office says.

A sentencing hearing for White will be held on Feb. 27, 2012. White could spend decades in federal prison.
