Health care giant promotes data-focused executive

Lee Health names Marcelo Zottolo named vice president of data analytics and continuous improvement.

FORT MYERS — Lee Health has promoted Marcelo Zottolo to vice president of data analytics and continuous improvement.

In his expanded role, Zottolo will be responsible for utilizing data, analytics and business and clinical intelligence strategies to enhance decision-making in quality improvement, according to a statement. He will also oversee a specialized analytics team that will work to develop data-driven initiatives to provide system-wide support for operations.

"Marcelo has been a valuable asset to our team since joining Lee Health,” says Lee Health President and CEO Larry Antonucci in the statement. “I look forward to seeing the creative approaches he and his team take in leveraging data and analytics to improve health outcomes and keep our health system on the cutting edge of health care innovation.”

Zottolo has been with Lee Health for almost eight years. During the last three years he has led the process analytics team and prior to that was process improvement engineer in the Lean Transformation Office.
