SARASOTA — Jacksonville-based general contractor LandSouth Construction will begin work next month on the Harrison Apartment Suites, a new apartment community in north Sarasota.
Mutifamily and senior living developer LIV Development of Birmingham, Ala., chose Charlan Brock Associates of Maitland to design the gated community. The complex is on 11.2 acres at 3301 Whitfield Ave.
The Harrison Apartment Suites will include 240 apartment homes in 17 one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans ranging from 840 to 1,988 square feet.
The 353,505-square-foot project will include five buildings with elevators. The complex will have a clubhouse, pool with pavilion, dog park and lakes.
"The Harrison's combination of construction and design elements will result in a modern, amenity-rich apartment community that will attract the next generation of Sarasota area residents," says LandSouth Construction Senior Vice President of Development Joe Passkiewicz in a statement.
The complex is expected to be completed by fall 2020.
