SARASOTA — Gulfstream Property and Casualty Insurance Co. has promoted Mike Killingsworth to vice president of sales, marketing and agency licensing. 

According to a press release, Killingsworth has over 15 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. He joined Gulfstream in August 2016 as director of sales. In May 2017, he was promoted to assistant vice president of sales.

Previously, he worked as senior territory manager at Safeco. He's also worked at GMAC Insurance and Allstate.

“It is a pleasure to promote Mike to this new role and work alongside him while driving Gulfstream’s short- and long-term business initiatives,” says Gulfstream President and CEO Nan Brunson in a statement. “Mike has strong sales and marketing experience in our industry, particularly in the Southeastern and coastal markets and is highly regarded by Gulfstream’s agents, partners and his fellow team members."

Gulfstream provides homeowners, condominium owners, renters and dwelling fire insurance coverage. According to a release, the company insures approximately 86,000 homes throughout the Gulf Coast.
