Gov. Rick Scott reappointed Carlos Beruff, owner and president of Medallion Homes Gulf Coast Inc., and George Mann, a retired business manager for Treatt USA, to the Southwest Florida Water Management Board.

Beruff, of Bradenton, represents Manatee County and Mann, of Polk County, will represent Polk County.

Their term begins March 8 and ends March 1, 2017. Board members are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Florida Senate. The board consists of unpaid citizens.

The Southwest Florida Water Management District's Governing Board creates policy for the district to manage water and related resources to “meet the needs of current and future water users while protecting the environment,” according to a press release.
