GIS expands to Midwest

TAMPA — Global Imaging Systems, A Xerox company, announced its purchase of RK Dixon, an Iowa-based provider of IT services, copiers, printers and managed print services.

Terms and financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. The purchase will expand the Tampa firm's coverage area to include central Illinois and eastern Iowa.

“RK Dixon has built a trusted reputation in Iowa and Illinois, and together we are bringing a powerhouse of technology and services that will help customers operate as productively and seamlessly as possible,” Tom Salierno Jr., CEO of GIS, says in a news release.

RK Dixon will add Xerox's office and printing technology and managed print services to its portfolio. The company has previously distributed Canon, Lanier, Lexmark, Samsung, Riso, and HP copiers, printers and multifunction devices. Bryan Dixon will remain as RK Dixon's president and CEO.

“Aligning with GIS shows our customers we continue to be committed to reducing costs and driving better performance for them,” Dixon says in a press release.
