TAMPA -- Frontier Airlines will offer nonstop service between Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Kansas City International Airport (MCI) beginning in February.

Frontier will operate two flights a week between Feb. 15 and April 14, a release says, with base fares beginning at $99.

“With the addition of Tampa, Frontier will serve a total of 20 destinations nonstop from Kansas City - including Kansas City's only nonstop flights to Mexico,” explains Daniel Shurz, Frontier's vice president of strategy and planning.

Frontier Airlines is a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings Inc. (symbol: RJET), which generated $2.82 billion in revenues over its last 12 months of business, according to Yahoo Finance.
