Build-your-own bowl concept holds grand opening for new location

The New Tampa location will reveal a new look for Fresh Kitchen.

TAMPA — Build-your-own-bowl restaurant Fresh Kitchen will open its 10th location on March 22, bringing its made-from-scratch meals to New Tampa and the surrounding community for the first time.

The New Tampa location at 8648 Hunters Village Road will reveal a new look for Fresh Kitchen, introducing new colors and textures into the brand’s vibrant pink and rose patterned features along with local art.

Fresh Kitchen can also be found in Tampa’s Westshore and SoHo districts as well as in St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Boca Raton, Davie, downtown Orlando, East Orlando/Waterford Lakes and Lake Mary. An 11th location, in Gainesville, is coming soon, according to a press release.

The grand opening celebration and days following will include opportunities for guests to win prizes and giveaways, from a free bowl to free catering. Ahead of the official grand opening, Fresh Kitchen will host friends and family events on March 19 and 20. 

At Fresh Kitchen, customers build bowls with seasonal ingredients, including fresh greens, sweet potato noodles, seasoned rices, roasted veggies, hormone- and antibiotic-free grilled meats, responsibly sourced salmon and homemade sauces. The menu is gluten-free with vegan options.

Amid the pandemic, all team members at Fresh Kitchen New Tampa will wear masks, complete daily health checks and undergo food safety and sanitation training. 

Ciccio Restaurant Group was founded more than 25 years ago in New York City with James Lanza. The restaurant group was named after Lanza’s father, Frank Ciccio Lanza, who was a Fortune 100 CEO and founder of L3 Communications. Ciccio Restaurant Group owns and operates 20 restaurants under the Better Byrd, Water + Flour, Cali, Daily Eats, Fresh Kitchen, Green Lemon, Luv Child, Taco Dirty and Sweet Soul brand names.

Ciccio Restaurant Group's joint venture partner Covelli Family Limited Partnership is an entity of Covelli Enterprises, the largest franchisee of Panera Bread. Covelli Family Limited Partnership owns and operates 80 locations in Tampa Bay, Orlando and along the east coast of Florida.
