opens in Sarasota

Gregory Beit announced the formation of AuctionWorks Inc., a full-service auction company. The Sarasota company will specialize in jewelry, estates, antiques, business liquidation and non-profit fund-raisers. AuctionWorks Inc. is leasing office and warehouse space at the Commerce and Warehouse Center.

Three Manatee County schools

receive FBA chapter charters

The Home Building Association of Manatee County presented the Manatee County School Board with charters for three recently established Future Builders of America chapters. These chapters are located at Manatee High School o Hurricane Chapter, Palmetto High School o Tiger Chapter and Southeast High School o Seminole Chapter.

The presentation included the three school instructors who will lead each chapter, one student officer for each chapter and Doug Wagner, director of Adult, Career & Technical Education for Manatee schools, who will oversee the programs.

General contractor selected for new condo at Riverwalk

The developers of The Promenade at Riverwalk o Robert Hatfield, Jan Smith and John Bell o have selected Bradentonis Thomason-Stevens LLC as the projectis general contractor.

Located on the Manatee River adjacent to Rossi Park in Downtown Bradenton, phase one includes an eight-story tower with 115 luxury waterfront condominiums and a four-story parking deck with a fifth level sports court that features a putting green and croquet court.

Sarasota gaming company

finishes delivery infrastructure

Sarasotais Infinium Labs completed its delivery infrastructure after agreeing to terms with Limelight Networks, a digital delivery network provider. The companies will deliver content for Infiniumis flagship Phantom Game Service via broadband. To expand the service content delivery infrastructure, Limelight will provide high-performance, high-integrity back-end technology and local high-speed distribution points for Phantom, the first end-to-end, subscription-based on-demand game service.
