First America Bank to sell

shares of common stock

The newly founded board of First America Bank is offering 750,000 shares of common stock at a par value of $5 per share. The minimum subscription for each investor is set at $10,000 or 1,000 shares, with a maximum subscription of $300,000 or 30,000 shares. Subscriptions for the stock will be accepted until 5 p.m. March 15, unless the offering is fully subscribed before then. The officers of First America Bank are Carol Green, chair; Hank Goldsby, president; Ronald Allen; Paul Beitlich; James Bridges; Doug Chapman; Robert Clancy; Philip Roy; Gary Roberts; Robert Smith; Robert Klement; Stanley Meuser; Vincent Stenger and Edward Valek II. First America Bank plans to open two full-service banking centers in Sarasota and Manatee counties in the second quarter of 2004.

Southern Siding opened

new Sarasota office/warehouse

Southern Siding has opened a new office/warehouse in Sarasota.

Ron Leas, branch manager of the Sarasota, says the office plans better quality control and customer service for local residents. Since 1991, Southern Siding has been offering homeowners maintenance-free solutions for replacement siding and windows. Co-owners Jim and Robin Atkins provide sales and installations from Tampa to Port Charlotte.

Event Services International

Event Services International has changed its name to Event Management Solutions, "The Corporate Experience Specialists." The firm changed its focus from primarily sports event management to a full-service event management and marketing company that offers comprehensive corporate event planning, program design and marketing services. Next month, Event Management will move into new corporate headquarters at 9040 Town Center Parkway, Lakewood Ranch. The company's programs and event capabilities include seminars, workshops, sporting events, hospitality programs, executive retreats, sales meetings, reward programs, and incentive trips.

Neal Communities says new

logo captures corporate image

Neal Communities has a new logo that captures its corporate image of a contemporary company with traditional values. The newly designed logo includes a new tag line, "Building. Home. Life." Pat Neal, president of Neal Communities, says the logo and line "symbolize what we do." Neal is currently building in Woodlands Park, University Park Country Club, The Country Club at Lakewood Ranch and University Place. Plans are being developed for Mandalay, and large parcels in North Port and Lakewood Ranch. Neal Communities is one of the largest privately owned building and development companies in Southwest Florida.

GemStone Securities opens

office in Clearwater

Palm Harbor businessmen Dale Twardowski and Peter Carey recently opened GemStone Securities LLC, a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers. GemStone Securities specializes in obtaining capital resources for start-up and expanding companies through private placements and other resources. The company is also licensed to handle mergers and acquisitions, limited partnerships, tax shelters and other corporate debt instruments. Twardoski says he has over 30 years in accounting and business finance and has worked in the securities industry for the last five years.
