Former Goldman exec named CEO at software firm

CLEARWATER — Suncoast Solutions, a commercial software developer in the hospice and home health industry, named Meriellen Cain its new CEO.

Cain previously held high-level technology positions with Raymond James Financial Inc. and Goldman Sachs. She was senior vice president of technology for Raymond James from 2011 to 2014. Before that, Cain spent seven years as vice president of technology for Goldman Sachs. She was also an associate partner with both IBM and Price Waterhouse Management Consultants.

Cain most recently worked as a consultant helping software firms deal with IT business issues.

Suncoast Solutions, founded in 1999, develops software for hospice, palliative and home health care providers. The for-profit firm is a member of Empath Health, a nonprofit integrated care network.
