Longtime NFL quarterback Vinny Testaverde — not necessarily beloved during his six-year run with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — has put his Hillsborough County home on the market.
The 12,000-square-foot home, in the private Dolce Vita community on Lake Keystone, is listed for $5 million. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group Realtor Tunisia Abraham is the listing agent, according to a statement.
Built in 2007, the home features seven bedrooms; a separate casita with private entrance for guests; upgraded wood flooring; vaulted and tray ceiling in every room; and a gourmet kitchen with oversized commercial appliances. Outside there is a basketball court, tennis court, putting green and spacious pool and deck, according to the release. There is also a virtual golf room and a full-size gym area, ice tub and sauna and a rooftop dance/yoga room.
“This is a unique property and a rare opportunity,” says Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group Broker/Owner Dewey Mitchell in the statement. Showings are by appointment only.
Testaverde lives in the home with his wife, Mitzi, the statement adds. The 1986 Heisman Trophy winner when he was at the University of Miami, the Bucs made Testaverde the overall NFL No.1 draft pick in 1987. He played with the team through 1992, including some subpar statistical seasons when fans ripped him for being color blind.
