NAPLES — Stephen LeBlanc, a chemical engineer and a leader in community involvement in Southwest Florida, has been elected governor for the Florida District of Kiwanis for 2018-19. He will oversee 251 Kiwanis clubs representing nearly 7,500 members in one of the largest Kiwanis Districts in the nation.

The 54-year-old LeBlanc has been a member of the Northside Naples Kiwanis Club since 2003 and has served in a variety if district chair positions.

“I look forward to growing our district-wide membership by adding new clubs and strengthening existing clubs,” says LeBlanc in a statement. “I hope to make more Floridians aware of — and involved in — the Kiwanis message of ‘Improving the world one child and one community at a time.’”

The Florida District is part of Kiwanis International, one of the world’s largest community service organizations with more than 600,000 members in 80 countries. LeBlanc was elected at the recent 101st Florida District Convention in Orlando.
