FORT MYERS — National Development of America Inc. won two contracts for $19 million in work. The Fort Myers-based firm will develop two affordable-housing neighborhoods in Baton Rouge, La.

Each neighborhood will have 42 townhomes, each containing between two and four bedrooms, and offering between 1,200 and 1,600 square feet of living space.

Upon completion, these two most recently awarded contracts will be the sixth and seventh of National Development's projects in the Baton Rouge area during the past eight years, representing $60 million in business over that time frame.

Rick Miller leads National Development of America as president. The company was founded in Bradenton in 1974, and opened its Fort Myers office in 1984.
