NAPLES — Haversine Funding, a financial services firm that helps specialty finance companies, including asset-based lenders and equipment and inventory lenders fill funding gaps, named Gen Merritt-Parikh president.

Merritt-Parikh has more than 25 years of experience in asset based lending and factoring, according to a statement, and will be responsible for origination, underwriting, investment analysis and management and asset allocation strategy at Naples-based Haversine. In 2018, as President of Allied Affiliated Funding, Merritt-Parikh led the company to a successful sale to a nationally chartered bank, the release states, where she continued to manage that line of business for the bank, Axiom. Merritt-Parikh was also a Vistage C-Group Founding Member for more than five years, along with being a former long-standing board member of the Dallas Finance Forum.

“I am thrilled to welcome Gen to the Haversine Funding team,” Haversine Funding CEO Stan Vukmer says in the release. “Her extensive background is an excellent fit for our needs and will enable us to usher in the next phase of growth. We will work in tandem to further expand Haversine’s footprint and lending ecosystem. Given the current economic climate, more financing organizations are approaching us as banks clamp down on lending impacting businesses directly and their lenders. And, with alternative financing providers becoming more mainstream in this credit environment, these specialty finance providers are seeking additional funding sources to manage their growth.”

Haversine Funding provides specialty finance companies flexible and affordable funding solutions to address concentration issues and support loan portfolio expansion.
