ST. PETERSBURG — To make way for its continued growth, software company eMason Inc. has signed a long-term lease for 40,647 square feet in the Roosevelt Technology Center.

eMason, which creates software to help businesses automate their processes, has undergone a growth spurt in the past four years. It posted $15.9 million in 2010, revenues that earned company founder, President and CEO Jane Mason the Business Review's title of Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011.

According to a news release, eMason has added 100 jobs in the past 12 months, and it currently has 175 employees.

Mason said the new office, at 11399 16th Court N. in St. Petersburg, was ideal because of its central location. “We have employees who drive to our office from Pasco, Hillsborough and Manatee counties,” Mason says in the release. “So this mid-Pinellas location was important to us. Also, having contiguous space on one floor is very convenient, and the facility has high-quality backup generators, a must for a company like ours.”

Jim Parker of Colliers International Tampa Bay represented eMason in the transaction, and Mike Talmadge of Echelon Real Estate Services represented the landlord, Pointe 16th Court St. Pete LLC.
