A Sarasota family led by Dora Thomas purchased the Value Self Storage in Venice for $7.2 million.
The price equated to $120 per square foot.
The four-building, 59,857-square-foot facility was constructed in 1996. The new ownership plans to rebrand it as a Big Jim Self Storage giving the group its third location in Venice. The family owns and operates a total of seven self-storage facilities.
