Anticipating a rebound in retiree relocation, Edward D. Jones & Co. will build roughly 120 offices in the Gulf Coast area over the next 10 years.
Between 70 and 75 of those will be built in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties, says Edward Jones partner Kenny Locke.
With roughly three million potential clients in the Tampa area already, Locke says his company will be there when baby boomers once again warm up to the idea of moving to a more comfortable climate. “There may be a deficit right now,” Locke said, “but people will continue to move south.”
Edward Jones serves roughly seven million investors.
